This is a small sculptural work formed from bamboo using the yotsume-ami weaving technique, set upon metal legs. The wing-like extensions spreading to either side and the gentle swelling at the centre create a form that feels lightly open yet grounded, expressing a state in which two contrasting qualities, the straight line and the curve, exist in harmony.
