
This work, made with the dry point intaglio printmaking technique, is part of a series. In Venice, the term bacan refers to a shallow lagoon, a sandy island that emerges and disappears depending on the tides. It is a magical place, surrounded by the waters of the lagoon and reachable only by boat.
