This wall-hanging glass work was made with fusing and inclusion. The plants collected by Rui Sasaki were placed between sheets of glass and fired in a kiln. The remains of the plants turned to white ash and were caught inside the glass. All the bubbles are remnants from what the plant had absorbed, such as air, humidity, snow, and so on, turning the sculpture into a time capsule of the plant's surroundings.
