Sinfonía

This sinfonia is styled after one depicted in the 13th century poems Cantigas de Santa Maria. The piece integrates techniques seen in the Gothic period and influences from church architecture. Rose windows carved in four layers create a physicality resembling stone architecture. The sound produced by the instrument evokes a feeling of being beckoned within the dimness of a space of prayer.
