These vessels by Frédéric Mulatier were created by weaving wicker shapes and coating them with clay. The wicker disappeared during firing, leaving its imprint. Brumes matinales' white surface results from layered titanium slip, while smoke imprinted random black traces. Inspired by the atmosphere of when night becomes day, the piece evokes the first rays of sunlight causing the morning mists to dissipate. Ciel d'hiver's metallic finish was obtained through the use of oxides. Featuring shades of colour ranging from blue to grey, interspersed with red glints, the piece evokes a winter sky.
