HOMO FABER FELLOWSHIP
Hardingfele - Hardanger fiddle

Hardingfele - Hardanger fiddle

Created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by luthier Ottar Kåsa based in Norway & Norwegian fellow Jake Fineberg. Made according to the fiddle-making tradition of Bø in Telemark, Norway, this instrument is inspired by older fiddles and combines details and styles from different local traditions. Locally sourced materials give it a deep, powerful tone.
