HOMO FABER FELLOWSHIP
The Monster of Oléron

The Monster of Oléron

This large wall piece was created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by ceramicist Kartini Thomas based in France and Portuguese fellow Álvaro Nogueira. This large wall piece comprises multiple small elements, uniting the graphic styles of the two artists. From a distance, the overall shape suggests a sea creature formed by islands, like a mythological monster in the waters around Oléron.
