This large wall piece was created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by ceramicist Kartini Thomas based in France, and Portuguese fellow Álvaro Nogueira. The multiple small elements that make up the piece unite the styles of the two artists. From a distance, the overall shape suggests a sea creature formed by islands, like a mythological monster in the waters around Oléron.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
