These two panels were created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by textile pleater Harumi Sugiura based in France, and Italian-Colombian fellow Marcella Giannini. Two panels made of ramie, a textile fibre chosen for its ability to absorb natural pigments, are dyed using the katazome technique, a stencil-based resist-dyeing process. Pleating transforms the textile into a sculpture.
