
This wooden scupture was created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by woodcarver Antonin Martineau based in France, and Belgian fellow Nicolas de la Barre d’Erquelinnes. The sculpture explores how life is shaped by moments of transition between constraint and freedom. The torso is carved in light limewood and finished by hand, while the fabric is carved by chainsaw from oak and then refined.
