
Made with repurposed cotton sheeting, this wall hanging addresses the legacy of slavery. Four green sections are embroidered with the words cotton, sugar, rice and indigo, indicating the largest crops underpinning the slavery movement, while red and white flowers add an idea of neutralisation, and planting positive seeds.
