Yūgen: The Profound Grace
This is a wall panel depicting a moonlit Noh actor. After a period of silence due to vision loss, Kiyomi Osawa combined then-new inkjet printing with yokofuri stitching. The threads pierce the darkness of the printed background to render the flute’s sound and cold night air, blurring the line between reality and illusion.
