Chrysanthemum brooch

This brooch, handmade from solid silver, is inspired by the symbolism of the chrysanthemum flower. The metal is hammered to create a diminutive quality. The silhouette of each petal is meticulously engraved, then partially cut out and gently lifted. This allows light to play through the many petals. The lower petals show a subtle, dark patina.
