This steam-bent black hickory hanging chair is shaped in a teardrop silhouette and assembled with copper and bronze rivets. Through steam bending, its curved ribs are coaxed into arcs that recall the lines of wooden hulls. Visually light and open, the structure is nonetheless very strong and can hold 300 pounds.
