This is a series of stools inspired by the deombeong jucho and columns of traditional Korean architecture. It reinterprets the rough texture of natural stone, by simplifying it and casting it in bronze, while replacing the traditional wooden column with a stainless-steel tube to create a contemporary structure. The work revisits the function and meaning of traditional construction.
