These small bowls are turned from plane wood, salvaged from a street tree in Hackney, London. The darker vessels are finished with urushi lacquer, a natural finish that hardens to a deep, lustrous surface. The paler vessels are treated with natural oil. The precision and discipline of the turning process are conveyed through the clean profiles and measured detailing.
