Micro-Macro

This glass sculpture is made out of glass frits, which are put into a plaster mould for glass to melt inside it. It has a thin, slightly curved body with an irregular, lace-like perimeter that evokes fragility and impermanence. Its surface is semi-transparent with a subtle white, cloudy tone. It emphasises the material’s fragility and light-transmitting qualities and creates a moody, atmospheric presence.
