A Day in the Life

This piece is built from two substantial slabs of solid Canaletto walnut, joined along their natural edges by a cast of tinted epoxy resin. The resin is backlit with concealed LED lighting, transforming the central axis of the table into a continuous source of light. The walnut is left with its organic contours and varied grain, showing tonal contrasts, knots and growth lines that emphasize the character of the material. The base, available in iron or brass, is defined by geometric proportions that provide a measured counterpoint to the irregular surface of the wood.
