Mystique stinger

Mystique is a work in blown glass from Nancy Callan’s 2023 Superhero Stingers series, inspired by comic book characters. Concentric bands of colour were created with the incalmo technique. The choice of a deep blue aventurine glass adds sparkle to the body of the sculpture, which evokes the shape-shifting powers of Mystique.
