This necklace is part of Elli Hukka's series Drafts of the Disease. Ceramic beads are made using the Raku technique. This series is very personal to Elli. She was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune liver disease, and when working, she was processing the fact that her vital organ, her liver, would always carry the weight of the disease and be dysfunctional.
