This rainbow pride flag was created for a Cardiff Pride participant. It recreates the original eight-stripe design by Gilbert Baker, first flown in San Francisco in 1978 as a symbol of LGBTQ pride and unity. Each stripe in the flag was naturally dyed. Babs Behan used natural dye recipes including cochineal, madder, weld, indigo and log wood to restore the full original palette this handmade flag.
