Hand-built from Parian clay, this vessel with deep orange interior was assembled from individual concave and convex sections in order to produce the undulating form. The piece was decorated with hand drawing and sgraffito patterns in vitrified slip. The naked clay surface is hand polished to produce a soft, satin finish.
