Chu-hi-cha tea mat
This is a tea mat used when drinking chu-hi-cha, a tea made from plants and insects. The areas that look like insect bites are made from light ramie thread, while the leaf sections use textured, hand-spun silk. The mat is dyed with insect excrement.
