Illa Manka Amulet of the Andes

Rita Soto's amulets pieces stem from a personal imaginary world, evoking a potential energy. They carry meaning, and are worn to give value, purpose and protection to those who wear them. This piece was woven using the micro-basketry technique, and almost entirely covered with embroidery.
