This gilded painting is part of a golden flowers series inspired by the gilding work of the Grandes Heures of Anne of Brittany, from the early 16th century. These delicate wildflowers are recreated and enhanced by gilding with different shades of gold. The browned flowers emerge on a matte background that highlights them. This series is a tribute to nature, the muse of Decorative Arts.
