This jewel-armour is a wearable sculpture, in brass, which has been cut, beaten and sewn. The piece moves like lace, and was made without a pre-imagined design, balancing shapes and weights in its making. The reference is to the women who preceded Milena L'Annunziata, her mother and grandmother, who cut, sewed and embroidered.
