Lament

This wall-hanging sculpture is made from the vinyl record sleeve of the album Lament by Ultravox, designed by Peter Saville. Each black square is threaded with ultra-fine copper wire. The ends of the wire are captured in a ball of glass. "I imagined what it would be like if a 1980s synth-pop record could cry," describes Helen Pailing.
