Vessel from Iapetus series
This vessel was pitfired with Ballintoy kelp and bladderwrack which add olive and orange tones to the finished piece. Constructed from thrown and hand built sections, the vase has red ochre and basalt texture on the surface. Perched on a tall foot ring, its deep belly and wide rim suggest a storage jar.
