Pomegranates

The pomegranate is a highly symbolic fruit that runs through the history of art. Paola Nizzoli Desiderato's research stems from her work on Caravaggio's Basket, in which this fruit is not present however. Paola has carried out research on all of Caravaggio's fruits. It was particularly difficult to reproduce split pomegranates on the tree.
