PyeonByeong

This sculpture belongs to the Popping Good Child series. This artwork is inspired by traditional Korean pottery called PyeonByeong. It has the shape of a flat bottle, and the body is created using the wheel-throwing technique with porcelain. The surface layers are exploded at firing. Inside the bottle, broken fragments from the surface line the base. The irises appear to blossom from these fragments.
