In this spread Emmelie Salomonsson wanted to show the main character's first brave steps towards playmates with warm and hopeful colours. In the window you can see the teachers lounge where the teachers are having an important meeting and cannot be outside with the children. The illustration was made with watercolour on Saunders Waterford 638 gsm paper.
