Gold leaf application on ancient wooden frame

This frame is an example of a traditional handmade application of gold leaf for restoration purposes. The loose 24 carat gold leaf is applied with care on the historic wooden frame with leaf motifs. The result is not plane, as the nuances and original leaf remain visible.
