Katagami

The body of this kaleidoscope uses old stencil patterns for dyeing kimono designs. They are laminated with glass to preserve their delicacy. The colours of the washi paper on the back of the stencil vary, making each piece unique. Inside, burner-made glass parts create diverse images.
