The Sultan of Babylon, and Wedding Cake

To make the curvaceous vase on the left Jill Barnes-Dacy hand-cut colourful images of Turkish sultans to position within concave indentations resembling paneled doors all the way around the vessel. On the right, a palm-sized, lidded dish in white porcelain is adorned with red, green and orange geometric strips, both inside and out.
