Mercato

Mercato is a collection inspired by the historical Venetian ‘Mercato di Rialto‘ where Diana Dethlefsen chooses some fruits and vegetables that she transforms into porcelain. First a plaster cast of the fruit is made to reproduce the natural texture, where later the liquid porcelain is poured. In the second firing the colours of the glazes give life to the shape.
