Empire necklace

This is a necklace made of 15 glass components, silver components and a silver chain. The glass shapes are cut with a water jet, then ground, flame-worked and hand finished to create the white, frosted effect. Each glass part has an internal slot and a silver rod that passes through the slot in the glass to join one glass part to the next. This necklace is inspired by the use of glass in modern architecture, particularly Art Deco skyscrapers in New York City and Chicago.
