Knotted gate

This gate is made from riveted iron bars. The design provides a contrasting sense of fragility to the strength of wrought iron as it simulates the breaking of a few bars as well as the attempt to “repair” these with solid iron ropes and knots. The piece was crafted using traditional forging techniques.
