Saint Joseph

This panel, representing Saint Joseph, creates a decorative and symbolic background to a statue of the Madonna and baby Jesus located in the church Beata Vergine delle Grazie in Trieste. The choice of colours was designed to create a harmonious contrast with the statue and its surroundings. The golden tiles in the background reflect the sunlight and illuminate the entire composition.
