Carré Series, Warp 1, Work 3

This is a handwoven textile wall panel, stretched like a canvas and mounted in a white wood tray style frame. Each piece is handwoven on a dobby loom using a weaving technique called Lampas, which allows for blocks of pure warp and weft colour to interact. This artwork has an abstract, asymmetrical layout. Horizontal blocks of colour gradually decrease in width, revealing more vertical blocks of colour.
