The Abduction of Psyche

This bas-relief was created by Fabio Ottaviano on mother-of-pearl. It depicts Psyche in the arms of Cupid, as they ascend to heaven. Inspired by Bouguerau's famous painting, the work shows very particular transparencies and colours. The subject has been personalised with flowers and cherubs.
