Yugen Elm

This sculpture is made from elm wood and is inspired by the notion of yugen. This Japanese aesthetic concept is one of subtle, diffuse beauty, made up of infinite resonances that refer to the mysterious beauty of the world. This sensibility is found in the nature that surrounds us and is expressed most magnificently in wood.
