
These two low stools are both made of wrinkled paper on which Pao Hui Kao applied urushi lacquer and coloured pigments. On one, she applied black-coloured pigment, on the other red-coloured pigment. With her innovative making process, she bridges traditional Asian lacquer culture and experimental Western approaches to material.
