This is a pair of square lime wood frames, treated with plaster and bole, then finished with gouache gilding in 24 carat fine gold leaf. The other sections are lacquered in black, then polished and smoothed. This is a very rich, full, prestigious lacquering. The frames were made for two works on paper by Umberto Boccioni.
