Beccaccia Euroasiatica

This is a miniature representation of a woodcock, made from Murano glass. The piece is the result of Vittorio Costantini's know-how in the flame techniques he has developed over decades of daily practice. In order to reproduce the feathered texture, he mixes different colours, plays with shades of red, brown, black and yellow in such a way that we might have the impression that the bird is painted but it is not: all the coloured elements are integrated one by one from coloured glass while patiently melted by the torch.
