Soilu

These three pieces are made out of 4,000 strips of white copy paper, glued and mounted into pine frames. They have an airy feel when you look at them from straight on, and a more dense feel when seen from the side. Soilu is an old Finnish word that means northern lights and is used to describe waters movement on a lake surface. Soilu is also the name of a small forest lake in north eastern Finland.
