Metamorphosis

Using a combination of transparent and opaque glass, Ruth Shelley cut, delicately placed, and fused glass segments to represent a rug from Baluchistan in blues, greens, browns and white. The oval vessel was shaped by gravity, cut, polished and sandblasted.
