Whispers

To create a dynamic feel and a sense of movement and flow, Angeliki Stamatakou used the coiling technique to sculpt this abstract ceramic vase with volumes that fold onto each other. The folds of the vase create a play of shadow and light. She also added texture and a glossy finish by decorating the sculpture with oxides and handmade crater glazes. The colour gradient from blue to white to green is a result of her precise use of these materials.
