Vases of Roman wood

These tall hand-turned vases are made with wood that is almost 2000 years old. Each vase is made of an oak foundation pole that was used for the construction of the Roman Limes roads around 125 AD. The vases were first preserved with a bio-resin and then turned into shape on a lathe.
