Mosaic Plate

This dark coloured glass plate has been made by fusing different diameter glass rods together, creating a honeycomb design on the surface of the plate. Similar to the I-Kat weaving technique found along the Silk Road, Gabriele colours her glass rods before cutting and laying them out into designs for fusing, slumming and grinding.
