Desdemona

This Elizabethan costume was based on a conceptual interpretation of Shakespeare's Othello and was designed for the character of Desdemona. It is crafted principally from brocade in gold and silver as well as jacquard fabric in purple and anthracite, making use of many techniques, including graphics, painting, batik, embroidery, padding and overlays.
