This piece, carved from a single block of walnut wood, draws on a mathematical and geometrical study. The title “Channelling Light” came to Wouter somewhat spontaneously, after looking at the finished sculpture: it looks almost like a light-fragmentation machine, drawing in light and sending it out again.
